The new Bentley Continental GT S raises the bar of luxury

the new bentley continental gt s

The new Bentley Continental GT S redefines the meaning of power in the luxury car segment. With an impressive 4.0-liter V8 hybrid engine that develops 671 horsepower and 686 lb-ft of torque, this model sets new standards in the industry.

Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 306 km/h make the Bentley Continental GT S a true road beast. However, it’s not just about the impressive numbers, but about the complete experience we offer our owners.

While many manufacturers promise the perfect combination of luxury and performance, few actually deliver it. In this case, the new V8 hybrid system is even superior to the old W12 engine, offering a significant increase in power but maintaining the refinement typical of our brand.

We are proud to present a car that not only impresses with statistics, but redefines what a modern grand tourer means.

671 HP V8 hybrid system: what the new Bentley Continental GT S offers

bentley continental gt s performance

Under the bonnet of the new Bentley Continental GT S lies a high-performance hybrid system that marks a significant change in the brand’s philosophy. The powertrain combines a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed transmission, producing an impressive total output of 671 hp and a huge 930 Nm of torque.

This configuration offers a substantial increase of 130PS and 160Nm compared to the previous generation Continental GT S, thus demonstrating Bentley’s commitment to continuous technological evolution. In terms of performance, the new system pushes the coupe from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, and the top speed reaches 306 km/h.

In addition to impressive performance, the hybrid size offers significant advantages. The model can travel up to 80 kilometers in pure electric mode, with a maximum electric speed of 140 km/h. These features transform the driving experience, giving drivers the flexibility to choose between the raw power of the V8 engine and quiet, emissions-free driving.

The hybrid system also surpasses the performance of the legendary W12 engine of the previous generation, confirming that electrification not only reduces emissions, but can significantly improve the driving experience. The sports exhaust accentuates the characteristic sound of the V8 engine, retaining the acoustic appeal that Bentley is known for.

Performance technologies: active chassis and all-wheel drive

bentley continental gt s technology

For the first time in the model’s history, the Bentley Continental GT S receives the Bentley Performance Active Chassis package, previously only available on the GT Speed and GT Mulliner versions. This advanced technical architecture radically transforms vehicle dynamics, providing a precise and adaptive driving experience.

The heart of this system is active all-wheel drive, which dynamically redistributes power between the front and rear axles as needed. In this way the car maintains optimal traction in every situation, intelligently distributing power where there is greater grip.

The Bentley Dynamic Ride system, an innovation with 48V technology, continuously adjusts the anti-roll bars to reduce body roll, especially when cornering. Torque vectoring, achieved via the electronic limited-slip differential, slows the wheels on the inside of the corner and increases the speed of the wheels on the outside, allowing the car to grip the road better in tight bends.

All-wheel steering is also now standard. At low speeds, it reduces the turning radius and, at high speeds, points the rear wheels in the same direction as the front wheels for smoother lane changes.

The new generation of ESC software gives the driver access to a wider range of driving modes. With ESC fully engaged, traction is controlled to avoid oversteer. In Dynamic mode, the car allows some slip at the rear axle, and with the ESC fully disabled, the cornering position can be controlled by the accelerator.

Sporty design and luxury customization

The sporting character of the new Bentley Continental GT S is immediately highlighted by the standard Blackline specification package. The dark look begins with the black front spoiler, matrix grille with a gloss black finish and black Bentley badges, giving the car a more aggressive and imposing presence. The mirrors, door sill extensions and rear diffuser, all in Beluga Black, complement this aesthetic perfectly.

The Matrix LED headlights with Precision design feature a dark tint, a detail shared exclusively with the GT Speed variant. Same treatment for the rear lights and black sports exhaust tips.

Inside, the cabin benefits from a unique visual identity thanks to the two-tone upholstery exclusive to the S models. Dinamica technical material covers the steering wheel, gear lever, seats and door inserts, creating a performance-oriented driving environment. Standard Piano Black upholstery picks up the exterior’s dark theme.

For customization, customers can opt for carbon fiber inserts or dark chrome finishes. Stepping inside, passengers are greeted by stainless steel door sills engraved with the «S» badge, and the seats feature a quilted pattern unique to S models, complete with embroidered «S» logos.

Available sound systems include the 1500W 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen or the impressive 2200W 18-speaker Naim for audiophiles. The digital interfaces also benefit from sporty graphics specially designed for performance-oriented models.

Conclusion

The new Bentley Continental GT S truly represents a turning point in the luxury sports car segment. The combination of the 671 HP V8 hybrid engine and advanced chassis technologies make this grand tourer a formidable competitor. However, the price of this model will remain prohibitive for most car enthusiasts, even if for our traditional customers it represents a justified investment.

To the impressive performance, highlighted by the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, is now added the possibility of traveling up to 80 kilometers in electric mode. Therefore, the Continental GT S offers the best of both worlds: raw power when you want it and quiet efficiency when the situation demands it.

The dark design, featuring the standard Blackline specification package, sets the S apart from the rest of the Continental GT range. The dark details, together with the padded Dinamica interior and custom S elements, create a car that attracts the eye without being ostentatious.

The Bentley Performance Active Chassis undoubtedly takes the driving experience to the next level. Active all-wheel drive, torque vectoring and all-wheel steering work together to provide exceptional handling for a car of this size and weight.

The new Continental GT S therefore represents a significant step forward for our brand, proof that electrification not only reduces emissions, but also substantially improves performance and the driving experience. This approach will surely define our future models, whilst maintaining the essence of Bentley: the perfect combination of refined luxury and exhilarating performance.
