If you are used to the unusual shapes of the Juke, it must be said that the new generation goes even further. The result seems clear: Nissan is trying to maintain the eccentric character of the Juke, but in a more mature and electric-era compatible form.

Size and space: The new Juke will be bigger

One of the most interesting details confirmed by Auto Express is what the new Juke will be slightly larger compared to the current generation. The publication notes that the new Leaf has a length of 4.35 meterswhile the new electric Juke will have around 4.2 meterswhich makes it more compact than the Leaf, but still more generous than the current combustion engine Juke.

That doesn’t mean the new Juke will be slow. On the contrary, even in the 170-200 HP area, an electric urban crossover can offer excellent performance in the city and on national roads, especially thanks to the specific instant torque of the electric motors. Furthermore, Nissan promises more agile behavior than the Leaf, precisely because the Juke needs to maintain its more playful character. Auto Express quotes Nissan officials as saying that the new model will not only be different in style, but also very pleasant to drive.

Nissan Juke electric range: not yet official

Right now, Nissan has not officially announced the WLTP range of the new electric Juke. This is a very important detail, because many speculative articles tend to put forward unconfirmed figures.

What we can realistically say is that if the model uses technology close to that of the Leaf, there is a possibility that the higher versions will offer competitive autonomy for the segment. Autocar recalls that the new Leaf can go up to 386 miles autonomy, that is, approximately 621 kmbut the Juke is smaller and will be positioned differently, so it’s not fair to transfer that figure directly to it. Until official confirmation from Nissan, the new Juke range should be treated as such unknown.

For the Romanian market this will be one of the most important points. Radical design may appeal, technology matters, but ultimately many buyers will decide based on actual range, charging speed, efficiency and price.

Interior and technology: a clear leap in quality compared to the current generation

While Nissan has yet to fully reveal the new Juke’s interior, Auto Express says the model will take over the new Leaf’s tech ecosystem. That means two screens of 14.3 incione for the dashboard and one for the multimedia system, as well as Google software integration, updates over the air and intelligent navigation with Google Maps, including features for smoother route planning with charging stops.

That would be a serious leap from the current generation Juke, which is already starting to look older in the digital realm. For an electric model launched in 2027, customers will expect good connectivity, a fast interface and modern software integration, and Nissan seems aware that just having a spectacular design is no longer enough. The new Juke must also be technologically relevant.

Where will the new Nissan Juke be produced?

Another important detail is the place of production. Both Auto Express and Autocar say the new electric Juke will be built at Nissan’s factory Sunderland, United Kingdomalong with related models. For European customers, including Romanian ones, this information is important because it shows that the new Juke is designed primarily for the European market. Currently, Nissan has not announced an official price for the new electric Juke. For this reason it would not be correct to present a value such as «the price of the new Nissan Juke in Romania» or even «the final European price».

At most we can say that the model will enter an area where several compact and small-segment electric SUVs will compete, and its positioning will have to be sufficiently competitive compared to the aforementioned rivals. Until Nissan’s official announcement, any amount made available remains speculation.

Direct rivals: serious competition in 2027
